Re: Tentative Agreement Reached
Your bargaining committee met with the Employer on six days over the past two weeks and is pleased to advise you that a tentative renewal Collective Agreement has been reached.
The agreement contains many language improvements, including schedules, no contracting out and casual call in as well as wage increases in 2017 and 2018. The new agreement will expire on June 30, 2019.
A package containing all of the proposed changes will be mailed and emailed to all members in the next week. If you have moved or changed your email address please ensure to update your contact information with the union. You can do this on the BCGEU website at http://www.bcgeu.ca/change-address.
The next step is to hold a ratification vote where all members have the opportunity to vote on the proposed renewal agreement. Please ensure that you exercise your right to vote!
The ratification vote is scheduled for:

Time: 0700 – 1630 (7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
Place: Westminster House
Please take the time to carefully review the changes when you receive the full package and bring any questions you may have to the ratification vote.
