Re: Bargaining Update – Changes to the Agreement

Your bargaining committee is pleased to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached with the Employer. The committee is recommending ratification. The tentative agreement improvements include:

· Improved benefits

· Wage increases

· Improvements throughout the collective agreement

Ratification meetings, held through video conference, will be held throughout the province.

The video conference details are: January 16, 2018, time: 6:00 pm

Voting on the collective agreement will begin on January 16, 2018 at 6:00 pm.

You can vote at the meetings or mail in. Ballots are being mailed out to each member this week. All ballots need to be back to a BCGEU office not later than Feb 1, 2018 at 5:00 PM. Please ensure you get your completed ballot to any BCGEU office before Feb 1, 2018.
