K'omoks First Nation (KFN) is hosting a one-day regional culturally-based event.  Kumugwe Dance performance at 7:00 PM in the big house, Indigenous arts and crafts and vendors, traditional foods, hands on workshops and info booths, traditional activities and a kids’ zone.

Held in the parking lot of the Snuneymuxw Band office at 668 Centre Street in Nanaimo. 

Traditional games, and foods, and vendors for Aboriginal arts and crafts.

4th Annual West Shore Indigenous People’s Day Festival

West Shore Parks and Recreation, 1767 Island Highway, Lower Level near the Picnic Shelter and Playground. 

 Organized in part by Surrounded by Cedar, the West Shore Indigenous People’s Day Festival is a free celebration for everyone on the West Shore.  Traditional singing, drumming and dancing, Indigenous foods and fun activities for everyone.

Aboriginal Cultural Festival 2018 – Royal BC Museum in partnership with Aboriginal Tourism BC
Friday June 21 - June 23, 2018

Royal BC Museum – 675 Belleville Street – beginning at 10:30 AM with a ceremonial welcome canoe paddle to Victoria’s Inner Harbour and a parade of Nations.  Events happen outside the Royal Museum.  

This year’s program features more than 100 performers from across BC and around the world.  Champion hoop dancer Alex Wells, traditional dancing and a drum making demonstration by Randy Henry.  Smudge ceremony with Frank Antoine, Indigenous Arts Marketplace, Fry-bread, BBQ salmon, West Coast Clam Chowder from the Songhees Sea-food and Stream food truck.
