Lake View Credit Union update of bargaining

Sisters and Brothers

We met with your Employer on May 6th to continue negotiations.

We were unable to achieve a tentative agreement, and the employer walked away from the bargaining table late Friday cancelling our scheduled May 7th bargaining date.

We are at odds with the employer on a number of significant items. Specifically the Employer continues to push several concessions. We have attempted to address their operational concerns without resorting to stripping rights out of the Collective Agreement. This has met with resistance. We remain apart on term and wages as well.

We have offered bargaining dates at the end of June and beginning of July and will apprise you should they accept either. We are still urging the Employer to return to the bargaining table as the Union is willing to negotiate.

We will continue to keep you informed in the coming weeks and intend to meet with you prior to the next set of bargaining dates.

Thank you again for your continued patience and support during this period of negotiations. Please continue to ignore any rumours that may circulate in the worksite and direct any questions you may have to any member of your bargaining committee.

In Solidarity

Doug W. Dykens on behalf of the Bargaining Committee.
