The Union wishes to advise that Mike Schmidt has been elected as the BCGEU Bargaining Unit Chair for Lake City/ Cascade Casino's. As chair, Mike will represent all casino members, as well as well as fellow workers from his Cascades Casino Kamloops worksite. Please join us in congratulating Mike as he takes on this important responsibility.

The next and final step in the election process is to elect three committee members who will represent fellow workers from Cascades Casino Penticton, Lake City Casino Vernon, and Lake City Casino Kelowna. Members will only be able vote for candidates from their respective worksite.

Once the three committee members have been elected, they will work alongside Mike and BCGEU staff negotiators when contract talks begin with your Employer. We will advise you shortly as to when the bargaining committee elections will take place.

Finally, congratulations should also go out to all of the candidates who accepted their nominations, and who ran for election. Thank you for putting your names forward.
