NUPGE Scholarships:
Did you know the BCGEU is a component of the National Union of Public and General Employees? The National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) is a family of 11 component and three affiliate unions. The BCGEU is a component of the National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE). Just like the BCGEU, our national union offers its own scholarships program.

Training Funds:
Members in specific sectors may be eligible for training funds.

Community Social Services Labour Adjustment and Education Fund for workers covered by the Community Living, General Services and Indigenous Services collective agreements. The Community Social Services Labour Adjustment and Education Fund (LAEF) is currently on hiatus and not accepting new applications. We are preparing to relaunch this fall with new opportunities and application criteria. Please check our website or Member Portal later this fall for more details.

BCGEU members covered by the Facilities Subsector collective agreement may be eligible for the FBA Education Fund. Apply for this training fund through the Hospital Employees’ Union (HEU), the fund administrator.
