Re: Worksite Visits
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Local 1002 Chairperson, Danny Campbell and your Component 10 Second Vice-Chairperson, Lana Vincent, will soon be visiting a variety of Local 1002 worksites.
Sister Vincent is the Chairperson of Local 1003 that includes the geographic area from Whistler, through the Lower Mainland to Port Coquitlam and Richmond. She is employed by ProTrans BC. ProTrans is the private operator of the Canada Line, a 19-km automated rail-based rapid transit system connecting Downtown Vancouver with central Richmond and the Vancouver International Airport.
Campbell and Vincent will be prepared to discuss the targeted defined benefit pension plan, Union successorship - East Kootenay, the Local Crews Know Local Roads campaign and the 2017 Occupational Health & Safety Representative appointments process.
Members are encouraged to bring their comments and questions regarding other topics such as the Highways contract reopener discussions in 2017, PRT bargaining in 2017, Highways bargaining in 2017, the BCGEU Triennial Convention in 2017 or other topics important to Component 10 members.

3:00 PM at Port Alberni yard
Wednesday, October 12 6:00 AM at the Cumberland Emcon yard
3:00 PM Powell River yard
Thursday, October 13 Mid-shift break at PRT Campbell River
3:00 PM at Port Hardy Emcon yard
Friday, October 14 6:00 AM at Sayward Emcon yard
3:00 PM at Parksville Emcon yard
