Local 1201 Members – Grid Levels 7-14 - Clerk 9 and Clerk Steno 9 Positions

We encourage everyone, whether you are interested, or potentially interested in seeking a new position, to apply to the clerical pool because if you do not apply, you will be ineligible to apply on postings until the pool opens again (and we don't know when that will occur).

From the BCPSA:

"Good morning,

On September, 2015, the BC Public Service launched the Clerk 9 Applicant Inventory for Victoria.   We are pleased to share with you that we will be replenishing the Clerk 9 applicant inventory in Victoria.  This means a posting will go live on April 22, 2016 to fill any future Clerk 9 vacancies in Victoria.

You may have not participated in the initial intake, but if you are interested in applying on clerk 9 positions in Victoria, either permanent or temporary appointments over seven months, this is your opportunity to participate.   We have made one change to the posting.  Based on feedback from our customers, there will now be two job categories that applicants can apply to: Administrative and Contact Centre.

If you wish to be considered for clerk 9 opportunities in Victoria, you must apply to the inventory. The posting will be available on the BC Public Service job opportunities website from April 22 to May 8. If you are successful in meeting the screening criteria and preliminary testing requirements, you will proceed to the inventory to be considered for vacancies as they arise.

The inventory is the first step in providing a more consistent, single employer approach for employees. Over time, you will see this approach applied to other clerical classifications and other job streams.

The intent of this email is to raise awareness that the Clerk 9 inventory replenishment is coming. More information can be found on MyHR.
