Important Notice Regarding BCGEU Triennial Convention  June 14th-17th, 2017

Every member of Local 302 is encouraged to consider running for election to be a delegate or alternative delegate to the 2017 Triennial Convention.

A meeting to elect delegates and alternative delegates and to pass resolutions to be debated at the convention will be held soon.  Every member of Local 302 is invited to participate in the meeting, either in person or by telephone conference call. (See details below.)

(Note:  This meeting is to deal only with matters related to the BCGEU Triennial Convention to be held June 14th-17th, 2017. It is not a general meeting of the membership.)

Resolutions for Convention

Members are encouraged to put forward, by resolution, any matters related to the operation, polices, etc. of the BC Government and Service Employees' Union to be processed toward the Convention.

(Note: This does not include resolutions for collective bargaining of your Collective Agreement.  Those issues are dealt with at a different meeting.)

Election of Delegates (and Alternative Delegates) to the BCGEU Triennial Convention

Delegates and alternative delegates to the Convention will be elected by the members who attend the meeting in person or by telephone.

If you are interested in being a delegate to the Convention, complete the attached nomination form and return it to the North Island Area Office no later than 5:00 PM on Sunday, February 19th.

Members wishing to be a delegate to the Convention may also be nominated at the meeting.

IMPORTANT: IN ORDER TO BE ELECTED, A PERSON MUST BE A MEMBER OF THE BCGEU.  IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER OF THE BCGEU, PLEASE CONTACT A STEWARD TO COMPLETE AND SUBMIT A MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FORM.
