AGENDA

  • Discuss and vote on resolutions to be referred to Component 8 for approval.
  • Election of delegates and alternates to attend the 2017 Convention. Please note, in order to be elected to attend Convention, the member must be in good standing and be able to attend the entire convention from June 14 to 17, 2017 inclusive.

 

The 2017 Tri Annual BCGEU Constitutional Convention will be taking place from Wednesday, June 14, 2017 to Saturday, June 17, 2017. Convention is the time when you, the members decide who the next BCGEU President, Treasurer and four Executive Vice-Presidents will be and what the mandate of YOUR Union will be over the next three years.

Resolutions are put forward by members for members. In order for your union leadership to carry out the work on behalf of the membership it is your responsibility to put forward your ideas. Please take the time to review the Constitution and consider the direction your union should be heading and provide your input. Attached is a copy of the resolution form, which should be used when submitting resolutions.

If you would like to attend the BCGEU 2017 Convention, you must be nominated and be elected to attend. Interested member should complete the attached nomination form.

Forward your completed forms to the Lower Mainland Area Office by 6:00 by February 16, 2017
