Mediation and Tentative Agreement Reached
The parties were in mediation at the BC Labour Relations Board on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.
The Bargaining Committee is pleased to advise that a tentative renewal agreement was reached after meeting with the Mediator and Employer. The tentative agreement has been recommended by the Mediator, and the Bargaining Committee has accepted the terms as a fair settlement.
The details of the tentative settlement are as follows:
1. All items previously agreed to and outlined in the previous comprehensive report remain agreed to.
2. Revise the proposed wage schedule (agreed to by the parties on October 6, 2017) as follows
a. Revise the classification adjustment of Group 3 and 6 from $0.75 to $0.50.
b. Revise the effective date of the three classification adjustments from the date of signing to October 17, 2017.
c. Revise the Year 1 across the board retroactive increase for Group 1 only from 2% to 2.5% ($11.49 retroactive to April 1, 2017 and $11.63 retroactive to September 16, 2017).

Time: 5:30pm – 6:45pm
*Meeting will start promptly at 5:30pm with a presentation by the bargaining committee followed by time for Q&As. Voting will take place immediately following the conclusion of the formal meeting.
*We have had a few requests from members to vote at 5pm due to scheduling conflicts. The Committee will be available at 5pm on meeting day if you wish to vote early however we strongly recommend members attend the meeting at 5:30pm before voting.
