The day that many of you have been anticipating has finally arrived. We need to take a strike vote and potentially go on strike to get a contract that provides for real wage increases, employer paid health and welfare benefits, and retro-active pay. They are not willing to go there, but we are ready to fight for what we all deserve!

Talks with your employer commenced this past September and we have been waiting long enough! Before we head into Labour Board mediation on February 13th, we need the employer to know we are willing to hit the pavement if we have to. 

Its strike vote time!

All BCGEU members employed at Auburn Seniors Village are strongly encouraged to come out and support your Bargaining Committee. A strike vote meeting has been scheduled as follows:

Time: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Jimmy J's Grill (8559 Young Road, Chilliwack)

Your Bargaining Committee hopes that with a strong vote in support of strike action, your employer will finally begin to take all of us seriously and come to mediation with a proper and respectful mandate. We deserve nothing less.
