In late September BCGEU Bargaining Chairs, along with the K-12 Presidents' Council, voted to ratify the Provincial framework agreement negotiated with the BC Public School Employers' Association (BCPSEA) in mid-July. BCGEU School Districts #59 and #81 will table the provincial framework agreement with our bargaining proposals when we meet for local bargaining.

The agreement includes benefit increases and language that helps address workplace issues and includes support for local bargaining.

The current agreements expire on June 30, 2019. The term for the provincial framework agreement will be in effect from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022.
