Members at BC NDP Constituency Office - Bargaining Update - BCGEU

Bargaining continued on March 22nd, with further discussion about the important non-monetary issues still outstanding, including: layoff and recall and job security. We are working with the employer to write new up-to-date language on Harassment and Bullying and Maternity/Parental, taking into consideration all the changes with the Employment Insurance Act.

Your Bargaining Committee is pleased to report we have now tabled all our proposals, including all our monetary demands.

Scheduling dates for bargaining has been difficult with the next dates agreed for May 2nd and 3rd in Burnaby. We are expecting the employer to respond to our monetary package at these meetings, so stay tuned for the results of those discussions.

To help ensure you receive a copy of bargaining updates, please ensure we have your correct email address. If we already have an email address on file for you and you wish to edit or update any of your existing contact information, you can log in to your member portal to change your information here: https://my.bcgeu.ca/login

In solidarity,
