Dear members,

Recently I advised your bargaining committee that I have accepted a transfer from the BCGEU's negotiating department in Burnaby, to the Union's area office in Victoria. This opportunity came up quite unexpectedly. I move to Victoria the beginning of January.

In a short period of time a new negotiator will be assigned to assist and help your committee prepare for upcoming collective agreement talks with your employer. Rest assured that this will be done as quickly as possible. You have waited patiently for a new collective agreement, and you are going to get a new collective agreement.

In the meantime, please be assured that the terms and conditions of your recently expired collective agreement remain in full force and effect until a new agreement has been ratified by the membership.
