Re:     Nominations Open for Local Executive

The Local Chairperson has declared nominations open for the following positions on the Local 1003 Executive:

• Treasurer
• Recording Secretary
• Member at Large
• Second Vice Chair

These positions are for the remainder of a three year term ending in the Spring of 2018. Information on the duties of these positions are available on the BCGEU Website. Those seeking the nomination must complete the attached nomination form and submit it by the deadline stated below.

Nominations open Monday, October 17, 2016 at 9:00 am and all nomination forms must be received by the Lower Mainland Area Office by Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 4:00 pm. In the event that there are multiple nominations for any position an election will occur as determined by the Local Chairperson as per the Union’s Constitution, Bylaws, and policies. All candidates will be informed of the process in advance.
