Nominations for Bargaining Committee Members at Salvation Army – Comox Valley - BCGEU


A bargaining committee is required to negotiate your first collective agreement. Your bargaining committee will work with staff representative Chad McQuarrie. Nominations are now open for two positions on the Bargaining Committee. An Alternate to the Bargaining Committee will also be elected from this nomination process. 


The Bargaining Committee Members' duties include: attending face to face meetings with the Union Bargaining Committee and the Employer; communicating with bargaining unit members regarding collective bargaining and other bargaining related issues; performing research; participating in conference calls; attending meetings of the bargaining unit regarding collective bargaining; acting as deputy returning officer during votes; and other duties as they relate to the collective bargaining process.

Please complete the attached nomination forms to indicate your willingness to be elected to a position on the bargaining committee.

Completed nomination forms (attached) should be sent to the Union as follows:

 

  • Nomination forms and biographies (if you wish to submit one) must be fax to 1‑800‑946-0247 or emailed to the Nanaimo Area Office at [email protected].
  • Nominations will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018.
