A bargaining committee is required for the next round of Bargaining. Nominations are now open for:
- Bargaining Committee Chairperson – 1 position
- Bargaining Committee Member – 3 positions
Nominees may be nominated for both positions, although separate nomination forms are required for each position. A nomination for the Chairperson does not automatically include a nomination to the Bargaining Committee.
Bargaining Committee Members' duties include: Attending face to face meetings with the Union Bargaining Committee and the Employer; communicating with bargaining unit members regarding collective bargaining and other bargaining related issues; performing research; participating in conference calls; attending meetings of the bargaining unit regarding bargaining; acting as deputy returning officer during votes; and other duties as they relate to the collective bargaining process.
