As you know, in the last round of bargaining, Protrans committed to making application to the Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP) so that Protrans employees would be included in the PSPP by January 2018. We can now confirm that your Employer has made the application to the plan and is awaiting a response from the PSPP Board. 

Transitioning to the PSPP is very good news for BCGEU members at Protrans. At the same time, members have many questions about how this transition will affect them. Your Union will be coming to the worksite for multiple info sessions in the coming months to introduce you to the PSPP and to answer your questions. 

The meetings will be held in Room 134, so space will be limited. As these sessions are voluntary and will be done on member's own time, we have arranged info sessions to accommodate the different start and end times and rotations.  We will give priority to the members in the departments listed, however, if there's room, any member is welcome to attend. Office staff are encouraged to attend one of the sessions adjacent to their shift end time. 

The info sessions will be held as follows: 

Maintenance
March 14th 16:00 – 18:00 and 18:00 – 20:00

Field Ops
March 21st 12:45 – 14:45 and 15:30 – 17:30 
March 23rd 15:30 – 17:30 and 17:30 – 19:30

Control Room
April 4th 16:30 – 18:30 and 18:30 – 20:30
April 6th 16:30 – 18:30 and 18:30 – 20:30
