Your Bargaining Committee is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with the Employer.

Highlights of this agreement include wage increases for each year of the agreement, with a 2% increase retroactive to April 1, 2017, Personal Wellness days, agreement to reinvest any cuts to MSP premiums into better benefits for the members and more.

There will be a Ratification Meeting to discuss all the changes negotiated into the Collective Agreement. The meeting and vote will be conducted at the BCGEU office located at 106-1650 Terminal Avenue North in Nanaimo on December 19, 2017.

Voting will take place at this meeting from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. In order to be eligible to vote, we must be in receipt of a signed Union Card. If you have not yet signed a card, there will be opportunity to do so at this meeting.
