I am writing this letter to let you know that I am resigning as your Local Chair. My husband and I are moving back to the Okanagan.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you and your worksites, and appreciated the confidence you had in my ability to represent you at Component as well as on the Cross Component Committee.

Thank you, especially to our stewards and OH&S reps in each worksite. Because of each one of you and your diligence, my job was easy, as it became more about building relationships and less about resolving problems. Please keep doing the good work that you are doing. I really appreciate you.

A call for nominations will be going out shortly, and I encourage each of you to consider running for either Local Chair or any of the vacant positions available.

The BCGEU is an amazing union and I can't begin to express how thankful I am for the many opportunities afforded to me by them. I am a better person because of you all and my union.
