BCGEU members at River Rock perform important work for both customers and the Employer. Unfortunately, many have expressed frustration that they are often asked to perform work that is unrelated to their position, and that their job descriptions are out of date

To best represent members at the bargaining table, your committee needs some up-to-date information that we can take back to the Employer when talks resume! For that reason, we are holding a day long Job Description Workshop at the Radisson Airport Hotel at 8181 Cambie Road, Richmond, on November 17, 2016, between 10am and 6pm!

Tables will be set up at the Radisson divided by work departments at the Casino. Each table will have copies of departmental job descriptions. Once a member has found their particular job, all they have to do is review it, advise the committee if it is accurate, or if it needs to be changed. Members deserve to be fairly compensated for the work they perform, and having an accurate job description will go a long way to ensuring that this happens.

Complimentary food and beverages will be provided, as well as some awesome BCGEU swag!! If you have children, feel free to bring them as well. We will ensure that we have juice and cookies for them too!!

We hope to see as many of you as possible at this important workshop!
