As you are aware the parties met January 6, 2016 at the Labour Relations Board (LRB) but the parties failed to reach agreement.
The mediator called the parties together at the LRB this morning to again attempt to reach a tentative settlement. A settlement was reached and the mediator asked the Union to change our planned strike vote meeting to a ratification meeting.
Therefore, the ratification meeting will be held at the same time and place as the strike vote meeting was scheduled for.
Ratification meeting:
- Date: Tuesday, January 12, 2016
- Time: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
- Where: Boardroom, Rosemary Heights
Your Bargaining Committee is recommending that members vote in favour of this tentative settlement. Members of your Bargaining Committee and BCGEU staff representatives will be available to provide information and answer questions.
Voting will only take place at the meeting. Every vote counts. Please make every effort to attend.
