The Union has now explored the options open to us to achieve a fair and reasonable renewal collective agreement to bring back for you to vote on and has determined that a strong strike mandate is required. The Employer is unwilling to offer wage increases beyond 0.75% per year and this is unacceptable to your bargaining committee.
A drop-in style meeting has been scheduled for you to come and vote.

Members of the Bargaining Committee and BCGEU staff representatives will be available at the drop in meeting to provide information and answer questions.
Voting will only take place at the meeting.
Every vote counts so please make the time to come out to ask any questions you may have, get a full explanation of what the issues are and cast your ballot!
Your bargaining committee is asking for your support and recommending a yes vote.
If you have not signed a union membership card please contact one of the bargaining committee members to sign one. If you have moved and not updated your contact information with the union, or have changed or not provided the union with your home email address we encourage you to log onto the BCGEU website at https://my.bcgeu.ca/login and do so as soon as possible. This will ensure that you receive future bulletins as soon as they are produced.
