Your bargaining committee met with the Employer for a second day of mediation on September 18th in an effort to reach a tentative renewal collective agreement to bring back for your approval. At the end of that day the Employer committed to consulting with upper management regarding one of the outstanding issues and providing us with an answer. The answer we received was that the Employer was not willing to move on a key outstanding issue. As a result we have reached an impasse and have scheduled a drop-in meeting for a strike vote.

Members of the bargaining committee and BCGEU staff representatives will be available at the drop in meeting to provide information and answer questions. 

Voting will only take place at the meeting.

Every vote counts so please make the time to come out to ask any questions you may have, get a full explanation of what the issues are and cast your ballot!
