Late in the day on December 19, your Bargaining Committee concluded the negotiations to produce your first collective agreement based on the settlement framework that you endorsed in late September.

The tentative settlement relies on the Aboriginal Services collective agreement as the base. The new Aboriginal Services collective agreement expires on March 31, 2022, has been renamed "Indigenous Services". The current Aboriginal Services collective agreement expires March 31, 2019. The exceptions that were agreed in principle as discussed in the information meetings held on August 2, 2018 have now been added as collective agreement language.

Here are the next steps: 

1. The agreement will be distributed for review and meetings will be held shortly after to explain the key parts and answer your questions. As soon as we have a schedule for the meetings we'll let you know. 
2. You will vote on the agreement.
