Themis Program Management & Consulting Ltd - CORRECTION: Transition committee acclamation & election - BCGEU

The bulletin of March 27, 2019 incorrectly stated that a candidate had been elected to fill the Victoria Office Representative position by acclamation. Instead, there were two nominees at the close of nominations so an election is required. In random order, the candidates are:

  • Steve Kitcher
  • Chantel Mather

A balloting package is being mailed to each member at the Themis Victoria office for whom the Union has a current home mailing address.

Balloting instructions are included in each balloting package. Ballots will be cast using a two-envelope privacy and declaration system. For your ballot to be counted, it must be sealed inside a privacy envelope. That privacy envelope must then be sealed inside a declaration envelope on which you must provide your complete contact information and signature. Please review and carefully follow the balloting instructions to ensure your ballot is not spoiled.

Your ballot must be received by no later than Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 5:00 PM

If you do not receive a balloting package through the mail, this likely means that we do not have your home mailing address on file. In such a situation, you will need to contact the BCGEU Victoria Area office to obtain a ballot.

The election for the Kamloops Office Representative continues with the original deadline to return ballots of Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 5:00pm. Jenny Bardsley remains elected by acclamation for the Burnaby Office Representative position.

To help ensure you receive bargaining updates, please provide a personal email address to the BCGEU at www.bcgeu.ca/update. If we already have an email address on file for you and you wish to update it or any of your existing contact info, you can use the same form.

Please accept my apologies for this inconvenience and let me know if you have any questions or concerns about this election.

In solidarity,

Ryan Stewart, Staff Representative - Negotiations
