The collective agreement for Kenneth Gordon Maplewood School (KGMS) expires on August 30, 2019.

The undersigned has been assigned to bargain your new agreement. As I explained to you in our worksite meeting last October, the first step in bargaining is electing a bargaining committee.

Please be advised that the union is now accepting nominations for KGMS bargaining committee members.

As per collective agreement article 26.10, the union bargaining committee consists of three positions. Members will be provided with time off to prepare and carry on negotiations with the employer.

Any BCGEU member at KGMS in good standing is eligible to serve on the bargaining committee. Members must be nominated by at least one colleague using the attached nomination form.

Please make copies of the nomination form as needed. Nomination forms can also be provided through your shop steward or by calling the BCGEU at 604-215-1499.

Nomination forms are to be received by no later than the close of nominations on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 5:00 pm. Nominations should be via email to [email protected], by fax at 604- 215-1410 or in person at the BCGEU Lower Mainland Area Office in Vancouver (#130 – 2920 Virtual Way, Vancouver). Should the union receive more nominations than positions available, an election will be conducted at the worksite.
