Bargaining with your employer commenced on February 26th and March 4th with a full discussion on all the non-monetary proposals. A number of language changes have been agreed and the parties continue to work on some other areas, including: scheduling, hours of work, anti-bullying and the right to have a steward present at meetings with management. These are all important language issues that need to be addressed before we talk about the monetary improvements.
Bargaining will next re-convene on March 22nd, when the union is hoping to successfully conclude the outstanding non-monetary issues and table our monetary demands.
