The results are in, and 99% of you have voted in favour of strike action.

Your bargaining committee would like to thank the membership for the strong turnout at the ballot box. Many of you came to vote on a day you weren't scheduled to work. You came out to send a message to your employer – you will not back down until you get the fair wages, benefits and working conditions that you deserve!

Your phenomenal show of strength and solidarity gives power to your bargaining committee. The Employer will know that you are ready to do whatever it takes to get a fair deal – including going on strike, if necessary.

Negotiations for essential services, in the event of strike action, are scheduled for May 14^th in Burnaby. Mediation at the Labour Relations Board is scheduled for June 4^th. Stay tuned for an update following the meetings.
