Vancity ratification of tentative agreement


A tentative agreement was reached on January 28, 2016. Attached to this bulletin is a Comprehensive Report that includes all the changes agreed to in negotiations.

The new collective agreement will be for a 4 year term with wage increases January 1st of each year. The language changes address the issues raised by the members. Your Bargaining Committee is recommending you vote in favour of the tentative agreement.

Representatives from your Bargaining Committee will be conducting the balloting at your department or branch as follows:

February 4

Balloting will be conducted by Andy Gill at the Member Services Centre and VISA, and by Jas Sangha at Central Administration & Payment Systems.

Balloting will be conducted at Branch 42 – Victoria by mail.

Ballots will be available at the meetings and the branch visits. Members may vote by mail or at their branch/department on the dates and times as above. Ballots will be available at each worksite for those members who are unable to attend on the dates above. Please note that only one ballot will be accepted, either cast in person or by return mail in a declaration envelope.

All ballots must be received at BCGEU Headquarters no later than 5:00 pm on Wednesday, February 24, 2016.
