This is an update on the status of negotiations between the BCGEU and Well-Being Services Ltd. (Nanaimo Seniors Village).

The parties held two additional days of bargaining on November 13 and 14, 2019 and have now addressed more than three quarters of all non-monetary proposals. Further, the parties discussed all of the remaining non-monetary proposals and are working on their responses.

Two additional days of bargaining are scheduled for January 16 and 17, 2020. (Both parties were willing to meet again sooner but could not find earlier dates that would work.) Members can expect a further update on or after January 17.

In the meantime, the bargaining committee thanks members for their ongoing unity, support and patience through this process.
