You are invited to an informal Union meeting during the noon hour on Thursday, May 17 with your BCGEU Local Chair, Amber Keane, and Staff Representative, Oliver Rohlfs. This drop-in meeting will be held in the Darwin Room at the Commerce Court location between 12pm and 1pm.
 
Oliver will speak to Union members' rights and responsibilities on topics including progressive discipline and rights to Union representation under your collective agreement.
 
Amber wishes to engage in an open, more general conversation about challenges and concerns in your workplace. We will be available to answer any questions.
 
As BCGEU Local 703 chair, Amber is your elected representative within the Union. She represents Union members in the BCGEU's Education, Scientific and Technical component for Greater Vancouver. These members work in private environmental testing laboratories, in legal services to the public, and as instructors and support staff in colleges and institutes, among others.
