Nominations are now open for the position of an alternate on the Labour Management Committee at YRB.
As an alternate, you would only attend meetings if one of the regular committee members were unable to attend.
It is open to all members, but priority will be given to stewards as they are familiar with the issues that continue to arise in the workplace.
The Labour Management Committee is a non-adversarial forum where the union and the employer discuss items of mutual concern, a mechanism that allows the parties to work productively and a means of communicating in hopes of understanding each other's roles, needs and wants.
Please submit your nominations to the Castlegar Area Office no later than 5 pm August 27, 2019, by using the attached nomination form. Details on how to get your form into the office are provided at the bottom of the nomination form.
The deadline for nominations is: Friday, August 30, 2019.
If there is an election for the position, candidates may submit one page of information (8-1/2 x 11, black and white) for distribution to members with ballots. This must be received at the area office within one business day of the close of nominations.
