This spring, approximately 160 units of short term transitional accommodation on three sites will become available for street and sheltered homeless people in the Surrey City Centre Area. These prefabricated modular units will be operated by Lookout Housing and Health Society, and will result in 30 additional FTEs as well as casual positions. Each shift will be staffed 24/7 by two tenant support workers and one excluded manager.

There will also be 250 units of permanent supportive housing sites in Surrey to be confirmed later this year. The government will be issuing a request for proposal (RFP) to determine what providers will operate the permanent supportive housing sites.
