The Prince George Area Office is closed today and tomorrow to all staff and members due to a health and safety issue. Staff will be working from home. Members are asked not to attend the office the remainder of this week, but can email or phone their area office for assistance.

All BCGEU offices are open except for the Prince George area office as noted above. Members who wish to attend at a BCGEU office must follow BCGEU Safety Protocols, which include wearing a face mask in all common areas.

Component 17 includes members in a variety of sectors in B.C.
They are employed by casinos, hotels, banks, credit unions, B.C. Place, B.C. Housing Management, some Royal Canadian Legion operations, B.C. Milk Marketing Board, Compass Foods, regional districts plus private businesses.

Negotiations Continued for a renewal agreement with the exchange of non-monetary proposals during the week of January 9th and continued through the week of January 16th. We are scheduled to caucus amongst ourselves during the week of February 6th where we will prepare our monetary proposals which include all compensation items.
