Currently we are speaking with your employer regarding bargaining dates. We hope bargaining will start in late September. Over the coming weeks we'll be opening nominations for the bargaining committee, please stay tuned for a future bulletin.
To ensure we have enough time to develop proposals, elect a committee, canvass workers needs and negotiate a collective agreement we have gained agreement from your employer to continue the terms of the existing collective agreement until January 31, 2017.
During the bargaining process the collective agreement will remain expired but you'll continue to live under the same terms while we work towards bargaining a renewal agreement. We anticipate this round of bargaining will be challenging and your support will be instrumental in achieving a positive result.
