The BCGEU is offering the new Steward Fundamentals Training (2-days) to all stewards and local executive members on May 7 & 8, 2019.

Steward Fundamentals, our new introductory 2-day course, focuses on the essential skills every steward needs to know. Through interactive group activities, role-plays, and skills development, stewards are introduced to the key roles and responsibilities of a steward as advocate, educator, organizer and communicator. Stewards will leave feeling more confident and effective in their role and skilful in their interations with members and the employer.

When: May 7 & 8, 2019

Time: 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Lunch: will be provided

Where: East Kootenay Area Office

46 7^th Ave South, Cranbrook

When registering for the event, please include the following information:

• Dietary restrictions
• Hours needed for leave of absence (if required)

All applicable expenses will be paid in accordance with the Union's Financial Policy.
