Re:     Bargaining Update

Your bargaining committee resumed collective agreement negotiations with the Employer on January 17, 2017. Two days were spent at the table, and a sizable number of non-monetary language proposals were exchanged. Talks were respectful, and we are hopeful that there will be some positive movement by the Employer when the parties next get together.

Because of scheduling, and vacation conflicts, bargaining will most likely not resume until late March or early April, 2017. In the meantime, please rest assured that the terms and conditions of your current collective agreement remains in full force and effect, until a new one has been negotiated, and ratified by the membership.
