We are pleased to advise you that your bargaining committee has reached a tentative agreement for a new collective agreement in your areas. The new collective agreement, which is subject to ratification by the membership, is for the collective agreement that takes effect September 1, 2018. 

We are required by the BC Government to ratify your collective agreement by June 30, 2017 in order for successorship to be included in the Request for Proposal (RFP) that is expected to be released for your area on September 1, 2017. 

All the details of the new collective agreement will be fully explained at the ratification meetings. Your committee is committed to providing adequate time at all of the ratification meetings to explain the details and answer any questions any of the members may have.

The ratification dates, times and locations are as noted below. Your employer has agreed to allow company time for employees, that are working, to travel to the yards and also company time, pursuant to the times below, for the ratification meetings.

Your committee will be recommending acceptance of the agreement and we will be counting the ballots at the end of the last location meetings for each area.
