Nominations are now open for the following positions in Local 101:

1st Vice Chairperson (1)
2nd Vice Chairperson (1)
Recording Secretary
Member at Large, VYCC Representative
Member at Large, Sheriff's Representative
Member at Large, VIRCC Representative
Member at Large, Open

Nominations can be made by completing a nomination form (attached) and returning it by mail or fax to the Victoria Area Office, attn: Jenny Ewing. Written nominations submitted this way must be received by 7:00 pm on January 21, 2009.

Nominations can also be made at the General meeting to be held at the Victoria Area Office at 7:00 pm on January 21, 2009.

Each candidate nominated shall have the right to:
(a) receive a list of stewards representing members in their local.
(b) submit a short summary of their biography/campaign platform which is to be no longer than two hundred and fifty (250) words.

The biography/campaign platform must be submitted to Jenny Ewing, Staff Representative at the Victoria Area Office within 24 hours of the close of nominations.
