I am writing to inform you that the union has achieved a settlement requiring improvements to Paramed's administration of the Enhanced Disability Management Program (EDMP).
Pursuant to the settlement, Paramed is now required to use an EDMP-approved form for modified duties (the "EDMP Community Health Worker Modified Duties Form"). This replaces the "FAF" form, which was not approved by EDMP. The approved form is attached for your reference.
The form, once completed by the employee's health care professional, is submitted to the Disabilty Management Professional and the WorkSafeBC Case Manager where applicable.
The settlement also requires Paramed to refer all regular employees to EDMP on the first day of occupational illness or injury and after five consecutive days of absence due to non-occupational illness or injury.
