There will be an election for your representatives to the Union-Management Committee.

The Union-Management Committee is explained in Article 3.9 of the Collective Agreement. The purpose of this committee is to have a regular opportunity to sit down with the Employer to discuss the issues of concern to workers. Workers have the opportunity to contribute to the successful operations of the workplace. This committee will discuss new policies and try to resolve problems before they turn into grievances. 

Your representatives at the Union-Management Committee should be team players that want to make things better for everyone. They talk to workers and workers talk to them. They know what's going on and – very important – want to solve problems. They should be knowledgeable and confident enough to speak to the Employer on your behalf.

We will be electing 8 representatives, the same as we did for the Bargaining Committee: 

- Security
- Kitchen
- Theatre
- Guest Services
- Slots
- Cage/Cashiers
- Table Games (2 positions to allow for an alternate)

The nominations and vote will be by department meaning you only vote for a rep from your department. 

The Collective Agreement only allows for four union reps (including me) at each meeting. However, we want to have a rep from each department so that everyone's concerns are dealt with. Participation at the meeting will rotate based on availability and issues that need to be worked on. 

Nomination forms will be out soon. Watch for them and start thinking about whether you want to do this or who you want to represent you.
