Further to the call for nominations to the Bargaining/Labour Management Committee, the BCGEU is now holding elections for the three vacant positions of the JPW Bargaining/Labour Management Committee. The candidate with the least number of votes will become the alternate.
This committee will represent the members in regular meetings and discussions with the employer about ongoing workplace issues.
The candidates are as follows:
Ballots will be mailed directly to your home. If you do not receive a ballot within the next week, please contact the BCGEU Okanagan Area Office. You may also get a ballot from your worksite stewards or you may vote at the area office. Where possible, due to timeline concerns with the postal strike, please return your ballot to your worksite steward as they will be able to expedite the ballots back to the area office before the deadline.
Ballots are due back to the area office no later than 5 p.m. on January 7, 2019.
Once the election is complete, a bulletin will be sent advising members of the new JPW Bargaining/Labour Management Committee.
