As you know, Emerald Health Care has issued the Union a Section 54 notice regarding the plans to return the contracts for the three homes to the Health Authority as of June 30, 2019.
What Does this mean for You?
- It means that you have been provided with working notice that your employment with Emerald Health Care will end on June 30, 2019.
- At this point, working notice is being provided in lieu of severance.
- If you are interested in retiring, we suggest you contact Municipal Pension Plan
- If you are interested in retraining, there is a Community Health Retraining Fund (information attached)
The Union will make every effort to ensure your continued employment, however, we are awaiting additional information from the Health Authority and we will keep you updated.
