Your collective agreement expires on December 31st of this year, and your newly elected bargaining committee met at BCGEU headquarters in Burnaby on November 14, 15 and 16 to get ready for bargaining. We went over what to expect through the bargaining process, reviewed surveys, prepared and prioritized our proposals, and talked about how to best keep members informed through this process.

Staff from almost every worksite responded to our surveys and we thank everyone who took the time to complete the survey to let us know what is important to you. We received a lot of feedback and the vast majority of members listed wage increases as their top priority.

Bargaining dates are scheduled with the Employer for December 11 to 15 in Victoria.
