Go green and help BCGEU members support people with developmental disabilities

The Developmental Disabilities Association (DDA) provides community-based programs and services to children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families in Vancouver and Richmond. Workers at DDA, members of BCGEU Local 303, create extended networks of support, invest in individual needs, and strive for an inclusive and safe community. Over 1,600 individuals and families in the Vancouver and Richmond area are serviced by DDA every year.

DDA collects second hand clothing, recyclables and some reusable household items in good condition for resale to support over 50 programs and services. We encourage all BCGEU members to support DDA! You can find details on what DDA is looking for and the nearest clothing donation box using your postal code at www.develop.bc.ca or you can call 604.273.4DDA (332) or email [email protected] to arrange pick-up in the lower mainland.

By donating clothes to the DDA you help benefit our community. Through your donations, valuable reusable material is kept out of landfills, thus reducing energy and material consumption.
