Your bargaining committee met again with the employer on September 28, 2018 to work towards a tentative renewal agreement to bring back for your approval. Unfortunately, it quickly became evident that the parties remained too far apart and we were not going to be able to reach agreement. We have reached impasse and have scheduled a drop-in meeting for a strike vote.
The issues that remain outstanding include many items identified as high priority issues by members who returned bargaining surveys.

Time: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Members of the Bargaining Committee and BCGEU staff representatives will be available at the drop in meeting to provide information and answer questions.
Voting will only take place at the meeting.
Every vote counts so please make the time to come out to ask any questions you may have, get a full explanation of what the issues are and cast your ballot!
