The Employer (NEC) approached the Union to discuss the possibility of extending the Collective Agreement for one year. This is referred to as a rollover agreement. There would also be a wage increase provided; however, that would be the only change within the Collective Agreement until July 1, 2019. Everything else in the Collective Agreement, including all protections, would still apply. 

We are asking to you to vote on whether or not you agree to a rollover. If the membership votes no, then bargaining will commence as usual.

Balloting will take place next week on Thursday, June 28th at NEC from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
