Following our union's convention in June 2021 and steward elections in the fall, it is now time to elect local officers to serve in the next three-year term. Notices of election are being issued and elections will be completed by the end of March 2022.
Activists and volunteers are the union’s lifeblood, and the entire membership appreciates the work local officers do as part of our union.
Your BCGEU local currently has an election in progress, and we are writing to advise you that the email that will deliver your voting credentials for that election will be changing this weekend.
Communication from the BCGEU for the purposes of delivering your credentials in which to cast your vote will be sent from [email protected] effective Sunday, February 27, 2022.
We ask that you add this new address as a contact in your email. This will prevent important voting credentials and voting reminder emails from going into the spam, junk and quarantine folders and will assist in identifying that the email is, in fact, from the BCGEU.
You may have already received information from the BCGEU to look for your credentials from [email protected]. Those credentials are still valid, but that email address will no longer be active effective February 27, 2022.
We hope that changing the email address from which communications regarding elections to [email protected] will eliminate any confusion and any difficulty in receiving that there has been.
